Hi Lori Armstrong! I can not believe that you do not have any comments on this book! I LOVE the new “Mercy” series- can’t wait for the next book!
I am a 45-yr old female, and for the past 20 years or so, I’ve read nothing but books about female detectives, bounty hunters, FBI Agents, etc., and they had to be written BY a female author. I’ve just never “clicked” with a book written bt a male. Anyway, I have my favorites: J. Evanovich, Linda Howard, Linda Barnes, Sara Paretsky, Lisa Gardner, and maybe a couple of others. I check my library’s “new book” list every month seeking new reads from these gals, and then I put them on hold. I was actually getting a little depressed when nothing new was coming out, so I started rereading some of their older books. Anyway, about three weeks ago, I decided to look at new names. But when I read the books’ summarys, I wasn’t turned on, until I came upon “No Mercy”. I have a secret infatuation for snipers, and the fact that this character was going back to a farm? Well, that was definately an original idea! Of course I put it on hold, had to wait a while, but when I picked the book up this past Saturday, I read the entire book THAT night! Mercy is exactly my type of fantasy alter ego. She’s one tough broad, yet also knows when to be “soft”.
The entire story was (for me), very interesting. I lived on a farm for ten years, yet I still learned a lot of new things from your story. I thought the writing was exciting, “real”, very desrciptive, moving, and, well- satisfying. It was refreshing to read about a new kind of character, in a very original, and well- thought- out story.
And, FYI: I also enjoyed every other character in the book. And to be able to have each one be so different and original (and there were A LOT of them!), you must really have one extremely vast, intelligent imagination!
Thank you for giving the world a new (original) character to read about, and a new series to urgently look forward to!
All the best to you and yours!! Please keep writing!!

    Sincerely, B. Balles
