The Shamus Award ceremony is Friday night. I don’t have a prayer of winning, but I am honestly honored to be in such great company with the other nominees.

Also, I found out last week that NO MERCY was a finalist for the 2011 WILLA Cather Literary Award in the hardcover fiction division! How cool is that? I’ve won the award once and been a finalist one other time, so I’m thrilled to have this new series recognized too.

Not only that, the 11th book in my Rough Riders series, CHASIN’ EIGHT, written as Lorelei James, my alter ego, hit #20 on the NY Times ebook Bestsellers list AND it hit #83 on the USA Today Bestsellers list!

I was asked to participate in a serial novel, NO REST FOR THE DEAD, and I’m pleased to announce it released yesterday!
